Domestically, intense battles will settle the copyright provenance of training data. Parallel to this is the massive energy challenge. Running the data centers needed for AI agents and physical world simulation consumes immense electricity. The next ten years will see a forced push toward highly efficient AI hardware, localized “edge computing,” and perhaps the first generation of data centers powered directly by advanced nuclear (SMR) installations.
